Born and raised in Toronto, I grew up in a family where desserts were central to gatherings. My love for baking started early, inspired by making homemade rice crispies with my mom. Although I earned a Bachelor of Education, I found my true passion in baking. I began by baking for family and friends, and as a self-taught baker, I dedicated myself to perfecting my craft. Now, I share my favorite recipes and tips to make baking enjoyable and accessible for everyone, spreading joy one treat at a time.

Food has always been my love language.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve always experienced food and dessert as a bonding experience. It is the memories that we make over a bowl of soup or roasting s’mores late into the night that give me that warm, fuzzy feeling. As I got older, I also developed a love for teaching, so naturally I went ahead and got my B.Ed. Surprisingly, it didn’t give me the same joy as baking someone a cake did. I started The Purple Cupcake, and began selling treat, curating dessert tables, and baking day in and day out. Today, I get to marry my two passions – food and teaching – together. Whether you love the in-person experience, or just prefer to do things online, it brings me joy to share my perfectly curated classes with you.
